Fall 2015 ~ Week 9 Colonial Life

In Class we discussed/accomplished:

      Life in the Colonies
      Democratic Debate ~ Tuesday 10/13 ~ take notes  
     Moving toward Independence
*  There will be an assessment on CHAPTER 5 (Leading toward independence) 

                       Multi-Cultural Studies Classes
     Filipino, French and Italian Heritage month ~ being the process using GRAPES and Artifacts (masks, mandalas, poetry, music, famous USA Americans …) to study the cultures

      Due Friday 10/16/15 ~ Mayflower Compact Assessment Corrections
      Assessment on CHAPTER 5 (Leading toward Independence)
      Due Thursday 10/22/15 ~ Chapter 6 ~ The Declaration of Independence

                       Multi-Cultural Studies Classes

      Due Wednesday 10/16/15 ~ Create a Filipino, French or Italian Mandala
      Due Wednesday 10/21/15 ~ Create a Filipino, French or Italian Mask
      Due Wednesday 10/26/15 ~ Create a Filipino, French or Italian inspired Poem
      Due Friday 10/30/15 ~ Create a Filipino, French or Italian a Person in US History Biography 

All Students in Both Classes 
   All students are encouraged to turn in their assignments on time, for full credit.  If there is an issue ~ they may turn in work late and receive a passing grade on the assignment.  The student will need to bring it to me ~ since I won't ask for it.  

MY GOAL IS TO HAVE ALL STUDENTS EARN AN A IN MY CLASS!





MayFlower Compact Assessment


The Assessment question is ~
   Why was the Mayflower Compact important in influencing Democracy in the USA?

The students who want to redo the assessment ~ may!

Students Tuesday I will pass the papers back and you need to Answer the question, on a new sheet of paper.

Complete this by Friday ~ October 16

Please remember to include the claim (answer to the question) with a reason,
    include:  a quote to prove your point
                  explain the meaning of the quote

                  why the reason and quote proves your claim.
*  Also remember to put your full name and period at the top right corner, use blue or black ink pen and cursive writing.
*   Plus ~ no first person when writing your answers.
