Outline Chapter 20 – African American Quit Design
- due Tuesday MAY 29th
The African American’s in slavery need to be
secretive in communicating with each other.
In this activity, students analyze the images in the textbook and Google
Search ~ analyze the images and the descriptions of what is happening in each
image? How did the African Americans
face slavery and discrimination in the mid-1800s? Create a symbolic quilt, 9 squares a visual
reference/representing the experiences in a slave’s life.
I will collect the Journal Writes due on
Fridays – staple them together – they get checked in.
Journal Writes ~ What does it Say, Why does it
matter, What does it mean and What do I think (3-5 sentences per Say, Mean,
Matter, Think)
Gettysburg Address – Memorize it,
complete the graphic organizer (task 1), Join another and help each other out,
the Exit ticket & Extra Credit –
complete the dot to dot and the coloring sheet.
