Outline Chapter 20 – African American Quit Design - due MONDAY MAY 14^TH   

The African American’s in slavery need to be secretive in communicating with each other.  In this activity, students analyze the images in the textbook and Google Search & analyzes the images and the descriptions of what is happening in each image?  How did the African Americans face slavery and discrimination in the mid-1800s?  Create a symbolic quilt 9 squares a visual reference to the experiences in a slave’s life.

I will collect the Journal Writes due on Fridays – staple them together – they get checked in.

Journal Writes ~ What does it Say, Why does it matter, What does it mean and What do I think (3-5 sentences per Say, Mean, Matter, Think)

Culminating Task – THE ABC’S OF 8^TH GRADE AMERICAN HISTORY ~ DUE MAY 18^th  -   NO EXCEPTIONS / NO LATE WORK ACCEPTED
